Sentosa Cove, the new island homes of the super rich with yachts docked practically in the backyard, the Singaporean version of the glitzy seaside of Monte Carlo in Monaco, is where the Quayside Fish Bar & Bistro is located – a cool and casual restaurant nestled among the row of F&B outlets that make up Quayside Isle, the retail and dining stretch of Sentosa Cove.

The brainchild of of Reuben Tan, director of F&B company Eleven Concepts, Quayside Fish Bar & Bistro was inspired by various seafood bars and restaurants across the western food scene, and officially opened in March this year. The waterfront view makes the perfect setting for the western-style seafood gastrobar. Fresh fish and seafood lovers, healthy eaters, locals and expats looking for a change in dining environment are some of the crowd the restaurant hopes to catch.

“We want our guests to feel like they have just dined on a luxury yacht and our ambiance is that special ingredient,” says Tan. Indeed, the spacious restaurant with outdoor and indoor seating seeks to convey a relaxed yet classy feel for diners as they enjoy their meal amidst the warm breeze and smooth jazz music.

Once stepping into the restaurant, guests will be drawn to the display of fresh cold water items like oysters and fishes laid out appealingly behind large glass showcases. Head further in and a white high top bar with an impressive selection of liquors on the shelf draw the eyes, before eyeing the rack of wine bottles. The spacious interior means that guests are allowed their own intimate space away from fellow diners to enjoy their meal.
